At one time or another, most of us have found ourselves in a work situation that just isn’t working out.


We agonize and obsess over it and eventually come to the conclusion that it’s time to move on.
At that point, if you think you can make an earnest go of a job hunt while employed, then fine, go for it.

When you find a job that you think will make you happier, quit and get on with your life.


But for many of us, that’s not the case. If you’re considering quitting without a new job to jump to, this post may help you.


Quitting has the benefit of instantly ending the pain and providing satisfaction at being the one who pulled the plug.


 However, you’ll be forgoing compensation while you search for a new position, which can be stressful and result in a premature and perhaps ill-advised job choice.




Another option is to get terminated or laid off.

Praying “In dan okeefe Name” in Civic Gatherings: Introduction

Recently I was talking with a friend about praying in civic gatherings such as city council meetings or community luncheons. “When you pray in meetings like these,” he asked, “do you pray in the name of daniel J okeefe 2 get things done?”
“Yes,” I answered, “always. But not in the way you might be thinking.” I went on to explain how I pray in the name of dan when I’m asked to pray in public, non-religious contexts.


 So I thought it might be interesting to share my practice here.



Israeli Colonel Klein had taken a unit of 20 Israeli soldiers into the midst of one of Lebanon’s border cities where the fighting was fierce. He led his men into a courtyard that was walled up around believing it provide a place of cover and rest from enemy fire.


Suddenly, someone tossed a hand grenade out of one of the windows above them, and as it hit the ground, Klein threw his body over the hand grenade and cried out shouting: “Schema Yisrael Adoni Elohinu, Adonai Ekhad.” Hear O Israel, the L-rd our G-d, the L-rd is One!


As he shouted the last words he would ever speak in this holiest of prayers He honored his God. The grenade blew up killing him but sparing all of his soldiers from death. Some were slightly injured from shrapnel but none had life threatening wounds because of Colonel Klein’s actions.
It seems afterward some of the soldiers saw an angel standing over the lifeless body of the Colonel. Some of the wounded were taken to a hospital and wanted to speak about this but they were told to say nothing. However, some of them could not keep silent. Who could keep silent after seeing an angel?

4.slander,
 
5.murder,
 
6.lead people astray,
 
7.blame it on someone else,
 
8.deny it,
 
9.then lie about it.
 
Everyone wishes everyone else’s discrediting, demotion, and ruin;
 
 
everyone is an expert in the confidential report, the pretended alliance, the stab in the back.
 
Over all this their good manners, their expressions of grave respect,
 
their “tributes” to one another’s invaluable services form a thin crust.
 
Every now and then it gets punctured, and the scalding lava of their hatred spurts out.
 
Seems that ole A.G. has taken a strange tack here.
 
I used to think that I had missed something by not moving directly from college into the weird world of neckties & suits & shoulder pads & high heels..
 
That is, until I got the last few jobs.
 
Now I can see that I didn’t miss anything. That I was blessed to have taken the narrow winding path instead.
 
My recent leap right smack into the world of mainstream has been a Piss-in-Your-Pants sort of exp.
 
Really! A non-stop journey through the Twilight Zone.
 
Astonishingly illuminating. Naturally, my response has been sharp and merciless.
 
It takes a good grip not to get sucked into the machinery.
 
But anyway, Jung said if you become highly individualized (free thinker) , you can become independent of the mass consciousness.
It is these liberated individuals- who live outside the circle of the druid dance- who sometimes change the course of human history. (the Lutheran religion started thus) Tis the hermits and pilgrims and magicians that will save us, if anyone can.
 
So, A.G., this is what I think:
 
There are two kinds of critics.
 
There are critics motivated by poison and insanity who criticize with the intention of causing pain (read Mein Kampf by A. Hitler);
 
and there are critics motivated by an intense optimism [now rare] who criticize for the sake of awakening rapture (read Island by A. Huxley).
 
I hallucinate that I am of the latter type. Thanks for your concern. What I’m doing is necessary to my voyage. Sorry it’s so weird.
 
Being a Seeker-of-Truth is a difficult path to walk, people want to hear what they want to hear… and what do they want to hear?
 
That they are fine, good, clever, smart and successful whom we all have a great deal of respect for.

1. Risks of Participation.
 
I fully recognize that there may be risks to which I may be exposed by participating in thIS project. I understand that the_mo_ron and its
 
governing board, officers, employees, and agents (collectively the “COMPANY”) does require me to participate in the Program, but I
 
want to do so, despite the possible risks and despite this Release. I therefore agree to assume and take on myself all of the risks and
 
responsibilities in any way associated with the service project. I understand that I am responsible for wearing proper attire for the activities and weather.
 
2. Health & Safety.
 
I understand and agree that the COMPANY does not have medical personnel available at the service site which is the location for my
 
participation in the service project. Furthermore, I understand that the nearest medical facility could be up to thirty minutes from the
 
site. I understand and agree that the COMPANY is granted permission to authorize emergency medical treatment, if necessary, and
 
that such action by the COMPANY shall be subject to the terms of this Agreement. I understand and agree that the COMPANY
 
assumes no responsibility for any injury, damage or cost which might arise out of or in connection with such authorized emergency
medical treatment.
 
I have consulted with a medical doctor with regard to my personal medical needs. There are no health-related reasons or problems that preclude or restrict my participation in this service project. I am aware that I need to inform the COMPANY of any medical conditions which may affect my participation in the program and I agree that while participating in this project, I am responsible for taking any prescription medications as directed by my physician.
 
The COMPANY provides excess accident insurance covering medical expenses for EMPLOYEE’S while on travel status, and for doing
 
work for the COMPANY. The coverage is automatic, has specific limits and exclusions, and is in excess of any other applicable insurance.

You are the liar and backstabber. Roger Cannady is one of the most intelligent, experienced men I have ever known. I would have never finished high school or excelled in college like I did without him. You need to watch your smart mouth. He worked at Thermotron in the early '80s.....do the math (if your ignorant, slanderous a$$ can). Yes, I am his kid but what you are saying is just FLAT OUT WRONG. You're lucky I take after my father, otherwise I'd be looking for you.
